Angela Mees, DVM

Dr. Mees is a native Atlantan. She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. After six years in general practice, she devoted her career to veterinary dentistry.

She lives with her husband Brian and daughter Kaitlyn. Their family includes a greyhound, Goldie, a Labrador named Boomer, two cats, Tater and Dave, and 3 red ear slider turtles named, Dribble, Dribble Jr, and Dribble the Third.

Amy Edwards, RVT, VTS(Dentistry)

Amy Edwards is originally from North Carolina, where she graduated from veterinary technician school in 1997. She relocated to Georgia with her husband Keith in 1999 and has been in a dentistry specific practice since 2004. In 2011, she was awarded the title of Veterinary Technician Specialist in Dentistry after completing the 2 year process and passing the board exam in dentistry. She enjoys teaching others the value that dentistry has on the overall health of pets and how to implement dentistry into their own clinics. Outside of work, Amy enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family; husband Keith and son Vincent. Her 4 legged family members include – Vaida(cat), Vivianna(dog), and Diesel the Destroyer(bearded dragon).

Carrie Schimmel, Veterinary Technician

Carrie is originally from northern Pennsylvania. She relocated to Georgia in 1991 and started her career in veterinary medicine in 1998. She became a registered veterinary technician in 2006. Carrie’s family includes her husband Tom, daughter Rebecca, and son Sammy. They keep very busy when she is not playing with dogs and cats. Carrie’s four-legged family members include 2 cats, Puff and Ginger.

Kaitlyn Berry, Veterinary Assistant

Kaitlyn grew up on a small farm in New Hampshire where her family bred Shetland ponies. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s in zoology with a minor in wildlife biology. Kaitlyn moved to Roswell, Georgia in 2015 and is now studying to be a registered veterinary technician. She enjoys traveling with her fiancé, Jon, and kayaking during her free time. Kaitlyn’s animal companions include two cats, Darwin and Petey, as well as a Golden Greek Tortoise named Albus.

Jessica Avery, Customer Service Representative

Jessica has been a part of the Atlanta Veterinary Dentistry team since 2015. She has 16 years of Veterinary experience, mostly working in specialty hospitals. Before joining the team, she had very little Veterinary Dentistry knowledge, but now has accrued a wide variety of information so she can best help you understand your pet’s dental needs. She has two dogs, Paisley and Chopper, and four cats and enjoys fostering animals. Jessica enjoys spending time on the lake or outdoors.
