We utilize dental radiographs for all patients. We take radiographs of your pet’s entire mouth and also take post-extraction radiographs to ensure all parts of the diseased teeth are removed. Dental radiographs helps us identify disease processes and problems that you cannot see with the naked eye. It is a very important part of the Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment, or COHAT, that we provide for every pet. Patients must be anesthetized for safety for us to take the radiographs, but this is a part of the process that is absolutely necessary in diagnosing dental disease.
